    Dark Velvet Waffles

A few days ago on a walk I found this cute little birdie who couldn’t fly. Being who I am, I couldn’t just leave him there so I brought home. I made him a small space where I could hopefully nurse him back to health. He eventually began eating and drinking and looked like he was getting a lot better. But unfortunately a few hours later he got worse and I am sad to say that he did not make it. Poor little birdie. I hope you’re happy where you are now. I posted this recipe as a guest post on Sweetness of Life a while ago. I love these…

    Everything Cookie Dough Hummus

I love desserts that taste decadent but are actually healthy. I especially love foods that are fun! This recipe is the normally savory hummus made sweet. Please do not think that chickpeas won’t go well with sweet things because they do! I have been wanting to make a cookie dough hummus for a long time and I wish that I had done this sooner. It tastes so good! Best of all this dessert hummus has everything in it! I don’t know about you but I’m crazy about adding multiple ingredients into dishes. I think it makes it tastier. Plus what could be easier than just throwing in a little something extra…

    Frozen Prune-Butter Spheres of Joy

Its summer time! Doesn’t everything seem so much better in the summer? The days are warmer, sunnier, and longer. Days off feel so much better. Fruits and desserts taste sweeter.  Rays of sun feel yummy on bare skin. My favorite summer treats are ice cream, iced coffee, and smoothies. The latter two I usually only have in the summer but ice cream I crave all year round. I wish I had some ice cream right now. Mmmm ice cream. Usually I still prefer having something to munch on then slurp so I made these fun little treats. This recipe is very similar to my Spheres of Joy but are placed in…

    For Monet

Monet, a fellow blogger and friend, has been through several tragedies in her life the past year. To help her through this difficult time Kate and Lizzy came up with the great idea to make a scrapbook of recipes for her. I immediately sent them my recipe for Apple Muffin Hearts, to show Monet that  many people care deeply and are praying for her. Monet is a beautiful and kind person who deserves all of the love sent to her. Please keep Monet in your hearts.

Chocolate Cherry Cake for My Birthday

This year is a very special birthday for me because I turn 19 years of age on the 19th day of the month! I consider 9 and 19 my lucky numbers so I’m pretty excited. Sometimes I really can’t believe how old I am getting. Sometimes it scares me but I know that it is inevitable so I try to live with it. I would like to celebrate this past year of my life by reflecting on what I have accomplished: I started my first year of University. This was a great experience for me because of the amazing things I have learned and the confidence I have gained by completing my scholastic…

Gluten Free Date Squares with Lime and Cinnamon

It appears that Spring has finally arrived here… and just in time for Summer! Here is one of the crab apple trees near my home. My favorite time of year is when they bloom. I can’t wait to get some yummy crab apples. I would have taken more photos but I was getting yelled at by this lovely lady. I think she has a nest somewhere. “Can’t we share my backyard? I am not going to hurt your young!” I hope everyone has had a fabulous week. I would like to thank all of my readers for all of your support, love, and comments. I sense that I am going to be very…

    Chocolate Coconut Fudgies

“We’re all made up of the same energy as everything else in the world” – Jillian Michaels Hi guys, I’m currently ready Unlimited by Jillian Michaels and last night I read something beautiful in her book that I’d like to share with you. Jillian uses Quantum Physics to say that we (like everything else in the world) are made up of atoms. Atoms are made of pulsating energetic vibrations so this means that we each emit our own unique energy or vibrational frequency. This energy has certain wavelengths that change according to our will and consciousness. You may be wondering why this is important. In fact it is very important because it means that…

Vanilla Cashew Oat Milk (Snickerdoodle Milk)

Have you ever discovered a recipe but didn’t have a key ingredient so you went out of your way to buy that ingredient just so you could make it? That’s what I did when I saw this recipe a while ago. I’ve been thinking of making my own milk for some time and I thought that cashew milk sounded super yummy. The only thing was, I didn’t have any cashews! So I bought a huge jar of cashews to satisfy my desire to make this milk. Cats like Cashew Oat Milk too! My cat decided to make an appearance for this post. Her name is Blaky. Yes, that is the…
